The Black Book Conversations is a series of Artist workshops focused on Artist career development where professionals come to share business tools and advice. Art Is King's aim is to see the Art Culture succeed in developing and building great artists and awesome works of arts.
Art is King is a three day conference that begins Friday November 8th at 6pm and ends Sunday November 10th at 6pm. Friday evening features a drawing session where artists come together to draw a live model and share their ideas and creative energy in a casual environment. Saturday's schedule begins at 8 am with breakfast provided by a sponsor. The first panel is scheduled for 9am and the last panel of the day ends by 6pm. At 9pm the art exhibit opens with live DJ, drawing contest, artist interviews and group art show. Sunday begins with breakfast at 8am and ends by 6pm. We give away various prizes and gifts from our main Sponsor Binders Art Store. Art Is King is designed to connect artists with organizations in charge of the galleries and agencies that artists come in touch with during their careers. Art Is King is the one place where answers are clear, honest and to the point. Art is King includes lectures on Branding, Marketing, Web Presence, the Future of Art, Art Business Advice and a one of a kind Speed Networking Session with various art industry professionals. We expect a minimum of 150 attendees and representatives of over 50 Atlanta art organizations. Our marketing for this event starts in January and we expect wide media coverage in the field of Art. We have various In-Kind sponsors for food, advertising, marketing and art materials available for distribution during the event. During the year, we hold small, casual art business conversations we call The Black Book Conversations. In 2012 we held them at Hypepotamus and at BINDERS Art Store.
